1. About Membership
Coolum Community Native Nursery (CCNN) is a not-for-profit, community-based nursery committed to growing and supplying locally native plants and fostering environmental stewardship within the community.
Membership is free and open to individuals and families who support the aims of the nursery.
2. Eligibility

Membership is open to adults aged 18 years and over.

Minors may be included in membership with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

By submitting a membership application, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and current.
3. Membership Benefits
Members may receive:

Access to nursery information, updates, and events

Opportunities to participate in community activities, workshops, or volunteering

Access to member-only communications or offers, if offered by CCNN
Membership does not guarantee availability of plants, events, or volunteer roles.
4. Code of Conduct
Members are expected to:

Treat other members, volunteers, staff, and visitors with respect

Care for nursery plants, equipment, and shared spaces

Follow any posted guidelines, safety instructions, or reasonable directions provided by CCNN representatives
CCNN reserves the right to suspend or cancel membership if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or contrary to the values of the nursery.
5. Volunteers and Physical Activities
Some members may choose to participate as volunteers. Volunteer activities may include light to moderate physical tasks, such as planting, potting, watering, lifting, walking on uneven ground, or using basic tools.
By participating in volunteer activities, members acknowledge that:

Such activities involve inherent risks, including slips, trips, strains, or minor injuries

They are responsible for assessing their own physical capability and participating within their personal limits

They agree to follow all safety instructions and use equipment appropriately
Participation in volunteer activities is voluntary, and members may opt out of any activity at any time.
6. Children and Minors

Parents or guardians are responsible for the supervision and conduct of any children under their care while attending CCNN activities or volunteering.

Minors may only participate in volunteer activities where appropriate and with parental or guardian consent.

CCNN does not provide child supervision services.
7. Health and Safety

Members and volunteers must advise CCNN if they have any condition or limitation that may affect their safe participation in activities.

CCNN will take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment but cannot eliminate all risks associated with nursery or outdoor activities.
8. Communications
By becoming a member, you agree that CCNN may contact you regarding:

Membership administration

Nursery updates
-
Events, activities, or volunteer opportunities
You may opt in or out of optional newsletters or promotional communications at any time.
9. Privacy
CCNN is committed to protecting your privacy.
Personal information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, including information relating to minors provided with parent or guardian consent.
10. Photos and Media
From time to time, CCNN may take photographs or recordings at nursery activities or events.
Separate consent will be sought where images are intended for promotional or public use, particularly where children are involved.
11. Changes to Membership or These Terms
CCNN may update these Membership Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The most current version will be available on our website. Continued membership indicates acceptance of any updated terms.
12. Termination of Membership
Membership may be ended:

By the member at any time; or
-
By CCNN if these Terms & Conditions or the Code of Conduct are breached.
