Sunshine Coast Grass Identification – Dr Hilary Pearl & Ann Moran

There are many native grasses in our heathlands and in the surrounding woodlands. This workshop taps into the extensive knowledge of Ann Moran.

Together, Ann and I have prepared a presentation looking at the role of grasses, their characteristics and identifying features. We will dissect grasses to look at their structure, and the parts of the flowers.

Following a break, we will work through the features of about 20 local native species, using hands-on specimens.

This workshop will be based indoors. Worksheets and lenses will be provided.

There will be a break midway, which will give you time to look around the nursery.
