About the event
This guided walk introduces you to the specialised plants adapted to sandy soils, salt winds, and nutrient-poor conditions. Learn about the ecological importance of wallum communities, conservation issues, and how to recognise key species in the wild.
Important Information:
This walk is approximately 2 hours in duration and takes place on natural, uneven surfaces, including sand and bush tracks. Participants should have a moderate level of mobility and balance. If you are unsure whether this walk is suitable for you, please contact us prior to booking.
For safety reasons it is necessary to wear suitable closed-in shoes and long sleeves, bring a sun-hat and water, and consider sun and weather conditions.
Your guide: Coolum Community Native Nursery Manager and intrepid seed collector Tim Lang.
