Description:
Shrub to 3m, on shallow mountain soils. Bark smooth, grey. Phyllodes alternate, grey-green, to 12cm x 30mm, small gland near base Rod flowers to 5cm long, summer to autumn. Strongly-veined woody pods, flat, often twisted, to 8cm x 15mm. Formally Acacia aulacocarpa var. frutescens.
Special Features:
Produces fragrant, bright golden-yellow flower spikes between January and June. Considered a hardy, fast-growing species.
