Description:
An endangered shrub naturally occurring only in low heathland between Caloundra and Mt Emu. It has fine, needle-like foliage and produces male and female flowers on separate plants, with flowering occurring in winter. Male flowers appear without stalks, and cones have a distinctive small spike at the tip. Prefers moist heath soils, including light to medium clays and sandy loams.
