Description:
A clumping perennial herb with erect stems and large light-green leaves. Produces white flowers in summer, followed by bright blue edible fruit. Ideal as an understorey feature plant, along creek edges, or around ponds.
Special Features:
Young rhizome tips, buds, and roots edible, with a ginger-like taste
Attracts birds and bees (Wheen Bee Foundation)
Provides frog habitat
