A graceful, upright perennial rush with slender, wiry stems banded in green and brown. Slowly spreading to form clumps, it produces reddish-brown flower heads in spring. Perfect for adding vertical interest to wet or boggy areas, ponds, or water gardens, while providing habitat for frogs and shelter for small birds.
