Description:

A small, spreading native tree with a sturdy, thick trunk and striking grey-green foliage. In autumn, it produces large yellow-green to cream flower spikes up to 15 cm long, providing a valuable nectar source for birds, bees, and other pollinators. Highly adaptable and resilient, the Wallum Banksia is salt spray resistant, frost tolerant, and an iconic feature of the Sunshine Coast’s coastal landscapes. The term “Wallum” originates from this very species.
