Description:

A fast-growing, prostrate perennial vine that forms a dense groundcover up to 5 m. Purple-pink pea flowers to 5 cm long (Dec–Jan). Seed pods 15 cm long. Thrives in well-drained sandy soil.

Special Features:

  • Salt-tolerant and drought-resistant

  • Young beans edible; mature beans must be boiled or roasted

  • Food source for Purple Cerulean butterflies
