Description:

A tufted, upright perennial grass up to 1.5 m tall with 30 cm leaves clustered at the base. Smooth stems branch at purple nodes, and seeds form clumps resembling barbed wire.

Special Features:

  • Lemon-scented leaves when crushed

  • Provides habitat for small mammals and frogs

  • Seeds eaten by rosellas

Dry Eucalypt Forest
