Description:

Clumping rush to 60cm. Leaves flattened, hollow, to 5mm wide. Up to 12 flowers in loose panicles to 20cm.

Special Features:

  • Juncus species, including J. prismatocarpus, were used for weaving, tying, and creating "dilly" bags due to their sturdy, flexible stems. It is a suitable plant for improving water quality and providing habitats for wildlife, such as frogs. The plant also attracts birds.
