A perennial, clumping rush growing to around 1.2 m tall. It produces upright green stems topped with pale brown flower panicles. Thrives in consistently moist or waterlogged areas, making it a valuable plant for natural wetland restoration or home frog ponds.

Hardy and long-lived in damp conditions
Excellent habitat for frogs and water birds
Ideal for planting around ponds, creeks, and drainage areas
Tolerates prolonged wet feet
