Description:
Shrub to 1.5m, young stems silky-hairy. Leaves alternate, to 4cm, silky-hairy below, margins rolled downwards, tip finely pointed. Conspicuous stipules 5 to 10mm long. Flowers yellow, often with red markings, to 10mm, in terminal heads with hairy, 4mm to 12mm bracts, usually with 2 or 3 finely pointed lobes, winter to spring.
