Description:
Erect, open shrub to 1.5m in stony soils and sunny, open places. Leaves in whorls of 3 or 4, hairy, to 20mm x 2mm, margins recurved. 6mm flowers, spring to summer, pink, mauve or, rarely, white.
Special Features:
Suitable for low hedges, borders, and general screening, particularly in exposed areas.
Its bushy, dense growth habit makes it effective for stabilizing banks or sloping sites.
The flowers provide a food source for insects, while the dense foliage provides shelter and habitat for small birds and mammals.
